The Early SubPass and Rejects Release (ESPR) system provides the
capability of processing rehandle pockets and optionally, the system
reject pocket at a tracer level within an entry. This allows subsequent
pass capture and Reject Repair to be performed while the prime pass
capture is still active on a sorter. Once a tracer group within an entry
has been captured, the rehandle pocket(s) for that tracer group are
available for sub-pass processing and the reject pocket for that tracer
group is available for repair processing. This greatly increases
productivity because you can now start subsequent pass captures and
correct rejects from active prime capture entries.
Features and Benefits:
- Is 100% compatible with CPCS V1R11
- Provides concurrent processing functionality while
maintaining the multi-tracer entry environment
- Maintains multi-tracer entry functionality throughout
the CPCS work cycle
- Creates fewer strings and reports than concurrent
processing option or enhanced prime
- Provides restart (manual) activation in case of any abnormal
termination
- With the REJX task, provides multi-tracer reject
D-strings for better control when On-line Reject Repair is chosen
after an entry is ended
- Maintains KILL on entry level
- Accesses the Sort Pattern Definition File to obtain
the sort pattern distribution option (on the "O" record) to determine processing requirements
- no separate Control File
- Ensures lower maintenance costs through
systems integration and fewer customization requirements
- Provides the increased usability of a Web Browser
Interface
- Allows new workflow options
- Automates adjustments and integrates balancing and transit dispatch processing High reliability
